Rowen Fox has directed the Phoenix Choir since 2012.
Passionate about community music making, he has conducted instrumental and vocal ensembles, musically directed theatre productions in his native Adelaide, produced an original cabaret, worked with community choirs and run choral workshops in regional NSW.
Rowen completed a Bachelor of Music Composition at the Adelaide Elder Conservatorium in 2001. As a composer, he has written for classical chamber and vocal concerts, cabaret and incidental music for theatre and short film. He is currently completing his Masters in Music Composition at the Sydney Conservatorium and was a Sydney Youth Orchestras Composer in Residence for 2014.
